To infinity and.........who actually knows.
I’ve thought a lot about what the first words on this empty page would be and I’d like to continue to journal my life away never actually making a finite decision, but its been called to my attention that I’ve been sitting on them for far too long.
About 3 years ago I embarked on a road trip from Minneapolis to Seattle moving once again to see another part of the world for a little while. On this long lonesome scenic drive I really evaluated what I wanted to put out into the world wether that be my own business, a part time job somewhere I’d enjoy (OutdoorVoices hit me up if you ever read this- ya’ll rad), maybe some kind of outdoor leadership position, but I always came back to community outreach. On said road trip was the first time I put it out there into the universe, via instagram because you know it’s highly accessible, that I had been interested in having a blog/small store to share adventures/thoughts that I love and enjoy. The feedback was nothing other than positive- feeling fired up and motivated I did nothing to jumpstart the dream…….insert eye roll emoji here ____.
Fast forward to almost 2 years later after countless conversations with close friends and family I worked up the courage to finally buckle down and do something about this creative dream. Filling several journals with adventure notes, website names, color palette themes, icon design, product sourcing, headline names, scribbled doodles, and multitudes of missing pages from ideas thrown out during minor breakdowns. So here we are full circle! I done did it!
In any community I’ve had the opportunity to move to I’ve inserted myself in to it as much as possible. I want to fully live where I live, know who owns my favorite coffee shops, support the local outdoor store that supplies my adventure crazed spirit, buy fresh local produce that’s grown with so much passion….then after I figure it all out, everyone else should know as well. So Imma tell yah here on this blog! Which you can take yoself and follow my advice or you can reach out and join me on my next outing or you can do both. The world is your oyster! I’m so intrigued by what it is that drives individuals and how they go about making it all happen - connection is so incredibly important when it comes to community. That’s what the central focus of my little project will be.
Bringing individuals together through similar interests because “Everything happens for a reason” my life motto I utter at least once a day. People enter your life unannounced, certain conversations are had, experiences are shared, paths are shaped, and we all carry onward. Now is the time to wander a little more and bloom wildly!
